Invitation to Apply

N-B Group (formerly N-Brook Mortgage Group) is a residential mortgage lending specialist, making the true value of the property essential to our ongoing success. Therefore, we hope to establish a business relationship with a limited number of appraisal companies in any given location to ensure they are knowledgeable of N-B Group' specific requirements. N-B Group expects an appraiser to consider that we will generally be selling a property under power of sale conditions so, while N-B Group is not looking for an overly “conservative” valuation, we are not expecting a “top of the market” value either.

N-B Group would like to invite you to apply to be one of only a few to be on our approved appraiser list in your coverage area. To this end, we are attaching an application form that you must complete and submit for our review along with other supporting documentation. You may forward the completed application and documentation to my attention at the address listed below. We will be contacting you within the next 30 days to discuss your returned application as well as to establish a working relationship with your firm.

The following is a list of required documentation along with a summary of what N-B Group requires as part of every appraisal report.

Required Documentation

1. Each CRA/AACI designated appraiser within the firm must submit the following items for review:
1. Resume and professional qualifications
2. Proof of membership in the Appraisal Institute of Canada
3. Current and valid E and O.E. insurance
4. Sample appraisal reports:
1. Single Family Reports
2. Multi-unit report
2. A copy of the firm’s most recent price list

Once the application has been submitted, along with the appropriate supporting documentation as noted above, the appraisal firm will be notified in writing of the decision. The list of approved appraisers will be placed for review on our company website (http://www.n-brook.com/). Each firm will be required to re-apply every 2 years in order to maintain their status as an approved N-B Group appraiser. At the sole discretion of N-B Group, an appraiser or appraisal firm may be removed from the approved list at any time. The principal appraiser for each firm is responsible for all completed reports sent by their employees to N-B Group on the firm’s behalf.

Given the critical nature of our relationship with our appraisal partners, it will be mandatory to complete the application process in order to remain on our approved list. If you do not wish to submit an application, please let us know and we will take your name off of the approved list.
